The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for the academic community to analyze, debate, and seek answers to questions concerning, in particular:
- the restrictions and limits on fundamental rights and freedoms under the Constitution of the Slovak Republic,
- criminal law interventions in fundamental rights and freedoms in the context of current dilemmas,
- the constitutional implications of criminal law principles in light of experience and current challenges,
- substantive and procedural principles of criminal law,
- constitutional limits on criminal punishment,
- the limits of the Constitutional Court’s jurisdiction as a corrective to criminal proceedings,
- the right to an effective investigation.
